that was incredibly cool
Though I always feel a bit dumb when I realize I've essentially just watched a video of a man pouring water. But dammit, that slow it looks so cool!

I doubt it would be that hard to operate. Better have a boss as computer tho. I know the video card used to edit with red cameras natively is like 6000$. Guess thats not 2 expensive if your spending 25000$ on the camera body tho.
I would like to know how much the phantom flex is, they don't have a price listing on their site.

i was at a shoot with one a few weeks ago, they're surprisingly simple to operate. we did have to bring around a portable generator for it though, that sucked.

How do you get that much light in to be able to shoot that fast?

yea i have no clue how he managed that in a room. but one thing that probably helps is the flex's big sensor, which can produce higher resolutions than 1080p

They obviously had some ridic lighting, the first shot was lit up like day.

that too, but having been around a phantom in person when shooting at night, i can tell you that it does an impressive job regardless

So,
When shooting every time you add 24 frames of speed in filming you compensate with 1 stop. For instance. If you are shooting F8 at 24 fps and you want to shoot 1 x slow mo or 48 FPS you would compensate 1 stop to F 5.6. Therefor to go 2564 FPS you would need to light/compensate for over 100 stops. I do not know enough about the phantom to know how you deal with that. It may have crazy ISO settings that help, but there were some lights involved in this.

Would this not introduce mad noise?
