good pop off a steep kicker, lean back alot looking skyward, tuck your feet when your about half way spun (upside down) and this will make you spin a little quicker. then its all about spotting your landing, letting your feet out and stomping it.  the biggest factor is being committed tho. oh, and use the searchbar next time

my friend just knocked himself out today trying his first backflip....it was kinda scary

please don't just look skyward. if you're not comfortable with a backflip and you do this, you'll stop halfway through and land on your head. what you need to do is tilt your head back and don't stop until you see your landing. in conjunction with tilting your head back, you will want to thrust your hips forward as soon as you reach the end of the takeoff. if you're on a small jump, you'll want to pull your knees up to speed up your rotation and keep your skis from catching the landing. if you're on a bigger jump, go ahead and open up. arch that bitch back like morrison and get some chicks. backflips are the easiest trick because you have the shortest blindspot. there's only a split second where you're looking at the sky then you come around and see snow almost immediately. if you're confident enough in yourself that you're not going to stop halfway through and land on your head, i recommend trying your first flip of a bigger jump, maybe a 20 footer, not just a steep kicker on the side of the hill. this gives you more time to see what's happening. no trick gets more crowd fare than a backflip. don't ask me why, but gapers and chicks just love seeing people go straight back and upside down. go for it and enjoy!

yea i know what it feels like to flip, i can double back on a tramp, and almost triple off a diving board. i just didnt know what its like on skiis, thanks guys! K+ (except for culturar cuz i already have you 10/10)
