The Greatest Video Game of All Time?

Of course its impossible to truly decide what is considered the greatest of all time. Best selling doesnt prove to be the best game.


this link shows like over 40 different top 10s from a bunch of different reviews and compiled the totals.

the number 1 overall was zelda ocarina of time...

top selling ones are shown here.... wii play and wii sports are by far the best sellers (damn asains!!)

Game of year (select your personal favorite rating, I prefer Game spot or game informer)


Personally these are ones I know are worthy of top ten.

Super Smash Bros. Melee - arguably the greatest multiplayer game of all time.
Halo: Combat Evolved... the greatest FPS since ...
goldeneye 007
half life 2 ( the orange box)
Call of duty 4 : Modern Warfare
Grand theft auto III


Although I know this is completely opinionated I still like to hear what others think.

GTA San Andreas.

If for GTA V they take the size of the map, the fun gameplay and non storyline options of SA, combine it with Fallout like RPG and have different ending options like Fallout tried with New Vegas it would thus become the best game ever.

Have it take place in the PNW (Portland, Seattle, Vancouver) with drug smuggling over the boarder, the music scene of Seattle, and everything else that makes the PNW awesome (maybe have some skateboarding and ski/snowboarding options on Hood, Baker, or Whistler?)... yeah - that would be the greatest game ever.
