How to pop on skis

when popping on skis to get more air off a jump, do you just jump? or do you lift tail to nose?

Lift your nose before your tips go over the lip, then lean forward so you dont land back seat.

Okay, now I feel like a dick, thought you were the cole kid bc of your avatar. Just jump like you would off the ground at the lip of the jump. You don't even really have to do a full jump, just a sudden leg straightening. Don't worry about your tips like that other kid said.

Think about pushing down into the snow with both of your feet at the same time, i.e. extending through your joints (Ankles, knees and waist) evenly to help you project your centre of gravity forwards. This will help you stay balanced in the air and allow you to match your skis with the angle of the landing. Most of the time when you jump off a lip, you'll end up throwing yourself backwards a little bit, causing you to land backseat, which often results in shinbang.

Lifting tail to nose would kind of like nollieing, which is pretty legit if you can do it properly, but work on a basic pop first.

yea im wondering the same question. i mean, i can jump normal. but once i put my boots on and pop on some skis, i forget what jumping is.

seriously? just jump and or use a jet pack if you have one ;)

You can practice this off of rollers first or off the lips of to get the hang of it. The easiest way is, when you're about to take off from the lip the jump, roller, w/e, from a slightly crouched position, push off from your feet.
Simple as that.
