The US is taking steps toward communism

Read this. They are the communist goals for overtaking the US government. This isn't a political thread, but a wake up call to how close the US is getting toward communism.
Here are some examples:
24. Network TV stations allow fuck to be used, as long as it isn't in a sexual connotation.
25. IF you haven't seen any of this in the media, read a magazine and you will see it.
26. People are trying to make gay marriages legal.
28. People try to remove 'God' from the pledge of allegiance, and the removal of the 10 commandments tablets from the courthouse in Alabama.
29. People talk about how the constitution needs to be changed.
38. People blame ADD for behavioral problems.
40. It's already happened. It's easy to get a divorce.

Just because you are unemployed doesn't mean that you slacked off in school. People get laid off and can't find new jobs in their field. Maybe there's a recession or depression so that jobs just aren't available. There are lots of reasons for people to be unemployed, other than slacking off in school. Plus, even people who slacked off at school can get a low wage job at Wal-Mart or something.

sorry! what i learned from history is that communism killed 80 million people as nazis killed 'only' 50! to me there's nothing worse than communism! and i see them everyday i france! it is an insult to those 80 million people! just can't understand how someone can be communist!

I must first say that I have not, until now, even posted in this thread. I don't know why he felt the need to defend himself against arguments I didn't make. It's actually kind of funny...
That being said, Communism is dead, and none of those things on that list had anything remotely to do with communism. Failure to recognize that will lead to me laughing my ass off at you. Most (and by most I mean 95%) of the things on that list can either to be argued to be beneficial to democracy, unrelated to politics, or downright moronic. Did anyone notice this was written in 1963? DOES THAT RING A FUCKING BELL FOR ANY OF YOU? Read Alpinecowboy's post. He's dead on. Beyond which, atlantaski, your shirt is completely nonsensical. The majority of people in every country, including the U.S., are in favour of gun control. Maybe they should add them to the shirt?

Overall, I'd have to rate this: dumbest thing I've seen in a long time. Mostly because they pretend to have a fucking clue.

hmmm I really lack to see your argument. the more you speak, the deeper the hole you dig for yourself. most of these points show how america is trying to create more freedom, not control it. And I also dont see any of your points that the US is headed towards communism. the government needs control some of the larger corporations because many cant control themselves. for example I think it is pretty fucked up that I would go to jail for having more than an ounce of weed but to this day only 10 people have gone to jail for all the corporate scandals that stole millions from workers pension funds. control the guys in power because so many abuse it but let the kid who wants to get high, get the munchies and laugh about stupid shit alone.

^As J.D May said it, communism is dead, it will never work. It's not that it's a bad idea, but human corruption always ruins it.

And for those who'll say China is communist and that it works, do a little research. It's not entirely communist in the sense of what Russia used to be...

As for those measures in the initial post, very weak arguments: socialism isn't a bad thing at all... our healthcare can be defined as socialism: same thing for everyone, no matter the revenues, and it's good (despite the waiting lists).
