Meh linerz. halp!

about 3 days ago, i noticed that there is a hole worn in my liner that leads straight to the very outside of it. it's right on the inside of BOTH of my ankles. i can't really tell how big it is since i can't really see, but i'd say about an inch across. i've been riding the liners for maybe 75-100 days including summer. they are not intuition liners, just regular liners on some 09 technica boots with the regular tongues. i haven't noticed any pain from them, yet.

SO,
anybody else had this happen to them? what causes/ prevents it? can these holes lead to foot injury somehow? do i need new liners?

I hate to bare bad news but that happened to me and my shop said that it basically means I wore the liners out. new boots or new liners are the solution. however if you havent noticed any issues yet might as well keep skiing em. unless they can cause injury which I doubt but I am not sure completely.

im not an expert but i believe new boots or liners are in order

if you like your current boots new intuition liners are about $150 i think which would be cheaper than new boots

liners are probably trashed. depending on what model the cloth outer wears pretty quickly, and back to back days where the boot doesn't dry completely takes a toll on them.

intuition will be the cheapest way to replace them if everything else is feeling right.

ok, so now i'm wondering, "what's the worst that could happen if i don't replace them?" my feet don't hurt in them as it is.

Nothing really, they will continue to wear out more. The area with the small hole now, will continue to enlarge itself the more it rubs on the shell. Intuition liners are the best bet for you. They are waaaaaay cheaper than a replacement liner from technica. They will also perform 100xs better too!

I had some liners wear out and crack from Salomon. Sent em back and they replaced the entire pair of boots. Warranty can be your friend. Then again...if they are still comfy...just rock em!
