Mad River Big Air - Saturday, January 8th

Mad River & Capital Park are having their first Big Air of the 2011 season. It'll be held this Saturday at 7pm.  Line Skis will be present with the 2011/2012 ski lineup. Aspen ski & board will also be demoing the latest gear, as well.

So legit that Mad River hosts MULTIPLE big air through out the year! Wish I could make it out, these events are way too much fun! SOMEONES GOTTA TAKE DOWN TERMAN!

just got back from capital park and the rebuild is looking incredible. they were still working on the upper park but the lower was in the best shape ive ever seen it. everybody should try and make it out sometime in the next few days because the park is too prime to miss right now

jump is nice and mellow, 45ish feet. Landings soft bc of all the fresh snow the past few day. Lots of fun, not big enough to double but youll be able to do just about anything else on it. should be good tomorrow

This event was super sick. Had so much fun last night, great jump and a good vibe. Everyone was killing. The PNS kids were destroying as always. Mad props to my good friends Mitch and Rick for throwing some nasty looking tricks. all props go to Josh Faber for once again making a great event and a great night! Can't wait to come back!!!

Agree, doest get much better than that, Had a blast.  PNS kids killed it.   Thanks again to Josh Faber for the ill park, cant wait to come back. Not really sure on the second and third places. but fun day overall

The event was a blast. The snowboarder that went down trying a double is fine. It was just a concussion.

This is why i disagree with the second place.... if you take a look a the images of the MRM big air,  someone didnt do a true nose grab,  looks to me like it was a weak ass mute grab...  you be the judge?

top park is looking sick, more rails than ive ever seen up there before. flat bar/flat tube, fd box/down bar, down box/down rail, and dfd box/dfd rail. not to mention theres now a pretty good sized hip where it was at the end of last year

the photographer must of missed the peak of the trick... i started low mute to slide up to high then true nose mute... over all still a good jump... its still up

dude really come on, what is the industry coming too... if you want 2nd dude have it i don't really care... i just like the fact i got to hang out with friends and enjoy a good jump... when you come back to the area ill give you my prize bag i got along with poles if it makes you feel better...
