So i was looking at it and when i place my straight object on the base there is light coming through the middle and stopping slightly before the edge. Go I need to take my ski in or am i fine. I can post pictures if needed.
Uhh no I think it makes sense. If he places a flat object over his bases, their is a gap in the middle which light can pass through. Therefore, he has curved bases.
Yeah sorry man. I was eating and typing. OK so i hope you know what a railed ski is. When i place a straight edge on the base of my ski i see light in the middle of the base and toward the edges of the ski there is less light. I will post pics once i pick my ass up out of the chair.
And I think it might just be the clear bases. Light is coming through over the entire ski, which just wouldn't really make sense if the base was concave.
ok cool. Some skis will warp in the cooling prosses causing what is called a railed ski. the base should be bevaled so it bend up at the edges not down.
see under the ruler how the light is consistent all the way across the ski? if it were concave then there would be more light in the middle than near the edges. so its just an illusion generated by the clear base material.
o well in that case i would take them to the shop and tell them to stonegrind them. it just takes everything down a bit and kinda resets everything
my dad does that to his skis whenever something like that happens to them
Dude its clear you've watched Mr.Hucks video on this considering you've quoted everything he said in youre posts. Why not just do what he said, take it into the shop and ask for them to fix the ski...
