Using Nordica Easy move boots- how much am I missing?

I'm sure this is a retarded question. I'm currently using some cheap, Nordica easy move 6 boots. No idea on the flex, etcetc. Now common sense tells me that I must be missing alot not having freestyle boots (spk's, full tilts, etc) but to be completely honest, they seem fine to me.

I'm definitely not at the level most of you on here are with regard to skill level, I can do basic grabs but that's about it.

What would I gain by switching to a higher end boot? I know the one's i'm using are probably complete shit, but at the time I bought them I was on a super tight budget (well, I still am...). My current boots feel comfortable, but again I have nothing to compare them to since iv'e never used any of the higher end boots. I only get to ski about 4-5 times a season, so it's very hard to justify spending 200$+ on boots. But anyways, I was considering stepping up my boots....would it be worth it? Looking for intellectual answers, not just "yeah those boots suck ass."

It depends if they fit you. You said you weren't having any problems with them, then rock them until they are dead. If you are only skiing 4-5 days a year and they fit you, you should be fine. At that rate, it would take you 2-3 years just to break in a higher end boot.

If you wanted to make the most out of your setup, I would invest in some good footbeds now and then transfer them over to your new boot in a couple of years. The ultimate goal of your boot is that it needs to fit your foot, not your skiing style. So, when it comes time to buy new, plan on spending $400-$600 if you want the best thing for you. But always get what fits, I can't stress that enough.

Before i got my freestyle boots (SPK's) witch was about a year ago now I was on rental boots.. nad YES they were really shitty. It did not keep me from riding though and although it gave me the worst shin bang ect I could still go ski and have a good time with them. As I wanted to get a bit more serious with park I got my self a pair of SPK's (full tilt did not really fir my foot very well). And Yes I felt a HUGE difference. They felt lighter, softer, fit better and just all in all better. Although I did not complain when I used rental boots I would prob. not b able to go back to them after the SPK's.. So if you are financially capable of buying a pair of freestyle boots I would go for it.. and they dont have to b full tilts or spk's. There are a lot cheaper boots out there that are very good aswell.

if they fit good i'd keep em, i've been skiing last 3 year on some beater tecnica diablos, but i love the fit and i cannot bring it up to spend 200+$ on a boot that might be a bit better ...
so i'm kinda in the same situation altough i do get to ski a bit more on a year then you do :)

IIRC, Arent the easymove the rear entry 4 buckle boots?

Thanks for the responses guys, that's exactly what I was hoping for :)

They have 4 buckles, yes. Rear entry? Not sure what that is.....but you put your foot in the same way you would any other boot.
