Spinning help, i feel like i lock up in the air...

anytime i spin anything over 3, i feel like my body just locks up in the air making it impossible to grab. i really have no fucking clue what my problem is and would really appreciate some help on staying loose in the air.

keep looking over your left shoulder, then you should not stop rotating :)

i always get the rotation around. its just a matter of my legs/upper body locking up like i dont have the ability to grab

Just grab with straight airs so you are comfortable doing the motion of a grab. It will become second nature, super easy.

Usually when people have this problem it is because they are not setting the rotation properly. Think about setting your rotation with your whole core instead of throwing your arms/shoulders. When you just toss it, you get an initial rotation from your arms, but it stops when they come back to your side, negating your spin.

Set ur rotation w ur head shoulders and hips. Also get more comfortable in the air... This thread sounds noobish

first learn how to land and ski switch perfectly over both shoulders. this could be on anything, over rollers, over a small jump, off side booters, popping to switch, etc... this will make you comfortable enough to add that extra 180 into your rotation. then all you gotta do is go a little bit faster, carve a little bit harder into your 3 and you'll find yourself landing 5's perfectly.

Try to not lock up your knees, like pop off the lip and then suck in your legs. Also commit and look over your shoulder.

i can spin up to sevens and grab tail but when i try to grab mute or anything forward i just cant!

just tuck up in a ball as soon as you leave the lip. this leaves your skis literally right where your hands are. grab one.
