Hardest marked inbounds run?

In your opinion, what's the hardest marked inbounds run in North America. Ive always thought it to be Corbets in Jackson, but ive never been to Squaw, Whistler, Crested Butte or any of the other resorts known for their big mountain terrain.

Yeah i guess a-z are marked in bounds but people barely ski them and some aren't even skiable most of the time. Big couloir isn't that hard, true, but its intimidating the first time you ski it.

I would say any really tight tree run. However, they are the most fun IMO... The new growth stuff (small pine) can get pretty gnar when the snow is deep.

Yeah, kinda. Its up in the new slushman's terrain. Its all in bounds BC style skiing with avalanche becon required, its lift accessed semi patrolled and pure bad ass.

That looked a little sketchy, like the coffin, but there are definitely some tougher lines around spanky's that require some big drops and careful skiing

not exactly 'marked' per se, but Schmidtiots on the Palisades at Squaw is just retarded. Also,
Sacrifice is a line at Squaw off Broken Arrow lift, pretty gnarly.

Alpental.  Is does not get any steeper. 

Also, Baker has some of the gnarlier mini golf lines inbounds without a doubt.

that run from stowe shouldnt be above the palisades
goat is 36 degrees and half of the chutes on the palisades are 55 or 60 degrees

Tunnel vision at kicking horse is the scariest run I have ever skied although it may not be the hardest.

I ski Alpental and it's defiantly not the hardest marked inbound area, considering it's two lifts tall and has extremely limited terrain. The only reason that it is difficult overall is because of the lack of snow we seem to receive year after year, resulting in almost constant icy conditions.


As for the hardest inbounds run, has anyone said Spanky's Ladder, Blackcomb/Whistler yet? That is one ballsy run.

the bowls themselves are pretty mellow, its the chutes around the bowls that get intense. also, anyone know the slide danger on chainsaw rifge? i know its mostly couloirs, but it looks like if you fall on one of those chutes your fucked so i just wana make sure. pm me if uv skied it before (alot) *anyone*

I think I mentioned spanky's along with a few others, but I don't think those take the cake. BUT! If your balsy, you can take a line anywhere around spanky's that could be really goddamn tough with double drops the size of air jordan or straightline chutes like someone posted a video of

I put my money on chainsaw ridge, It's definitely some of the steepest, narroest chutes on blackcomb with super hard drop in entrances and some big drops in the area. But, they are a little short so if you fall you're not going all the way down a face, so thats why I don't think it takes the cake.

but honestly, DOA isn't that crazy, I skied it when i was 13, I know the Pehota boys skied it when they were quite young and Chris Turpin skied it switch.

For EC gotta give credit to Whiteface Not sure if they count it as In bounds but its lift access with no hike so might as well.

technically the entire face of this peak at snowbird is inbounds, the big couloir you see in the middle is called pipeline, and the face on the far left is also sometimes skied..although patrol keeps most of the stuff in that picture shut down most of the year.

I AM NOT SAYING THAT THESE ARE THE HARDEST INBOUNDS RUN, I KNOW THAT SOME OF THE STUFF AT JACKSON SMOKES THESE LINES...BUT I AM SAYING THAT THESE ARE MUCH HARDER INBOUNDS RUNS THAN THE ONES ON THE LIST ON THE FIRST PAGE OF THIS THREAD...

I agree.  For example, Lake Chutes at Breck is a pretty mellow powder run generally.  However you can send it about 50 feet to steeps on it and call it a super hard run, or you can glide in and ski gentle pow turns.  It's as hard as you make it.

The chutes that are used for the Wrangle the Chute competition (Boxcar and Tie One On) have pretty gnarly drop ins. Just b-line it in and your in the clear. It don't think it's one of the scariest runs at the Horse though. I haven't skied any of their new terrain yet(Super Bowl). It probably won't open till late Decemeber/early January. If you're ever up at the Horse, head into Fuez bowl and hit up Stampede, Wildfire or One Trick Pony. The angles of the slopes don't go fall line. It's pretty fun stuff. Get's steep. Sometimes the snow doesn't stick fully to the slope. Or hit up the area between Bareback and Stallion.

Agreed.  Lake Chutes can be damn scary if you want it to be.  It sucks that is the hardest run at Breckenridge.  Even though it is my favorite mountain, it just doesn't have the terrain as other places.

thats a shitty pic of it. those chutes are so sick. Their really steep. theres 5 of them, i've skied #2 and #3. #1 which is the one with the waterfall (pictured above) is pretty shitty. the other ones are really sick though.

yes this. how do i get here? and also if u look at a whistler/blackcomb map and look at the very peak of blackcomb all the way on the right of it theres a spot thats not closed off, kinda like a couloir. is that doa? or if not has anyone skied it?
