Early Season Pains??

Hey,

this is probably a dumb question.. but with good boots that fit, is it still normal to get leg pains and shin bang etc..?

The boots I have currently do not give me shin bang at all. I can land backseat 100 times and they won't give me shin bang. But I think they might be a little tight because sometime I get some brutal toe bang. But I think if a boot fits correctly you shouldn't get shin bang at all since shin bang is usually caused my boots that are too big (my old boots were 2 sizes too big and I got the most brutal shin bang I have ever experienced).

Aka...Good fitting boots shouldn't give you bad shin bang at all but if you are constantly landing back seat than a bit of shin bang/leg pains can happen.

i feel a good fitting boot should not have those effects, see if you can get a laser aligned insole, usually around $70 but worth it, im at around 200 days on my nordica superchargers and could wear them all day every. day. keep in mind that different companies do their boots differently, langes are narrower, nordicas are wider, and i feel salomon or full tilts are somewhere in between. but if they're new and just don't seem right, i'd check someplace like surefoot for a good insole. they're also very good at grinding out tight spaces or adding and subtracting cant (angling the inside or outside of the boots base by a degree or so). there's a few things you can do to make your boots comfortable, definitely go to a tech for a real answer

i dont think so. i always thought ski boots were "supposed" to hurt somewhat.

then i got full tilts

i can wear them all day and not want to take them off. never get shin bang either

its completly normal man. ski a couple more days and your shins and everything will get used to being in ski boots again and youll be fine

First few days in brand news boots is gonna suck. I had just got new full tilts mid season even had them heat molded and i was in agony when i skied for 2-3 days. Now they are amazing tho.

COMPLETELY normal, i went skiing at a mountain 1 day. my legs were soar for a week (partly cuz i sat on the couch for the past 3 months) and then i started riding a bike a little to get some muscles back and skiing in the backyard is starting to not hurt as much!

yeah im having the same problem i got shin bang early last year and then it went away through the year so im hoping it will do the same!

i didnt get shin bang. but after the first day of skiing the outside of my right leg hurt so bad i couldn't move my ankle. thought it was my boots but it was just 1st day skiing pains.

does anyone ever get the feeling that their leg hair is getting ripped out? i have pretty hair legs and it feels like everything i move in my boots it is getting pulled.... do i just have to man up and shave my legs or is it maybe just the socks i have? help please...

yeah, cause i know they fit properly, custom footbeds and intuition liners. and the shell is perfect fit. so im geussing its just early season pains, and i might go and get a power strap for more support
