do u remember ssx snowboarding games?? god damn those were so fun... i was at my cousins over the turkey day and we played for all time. who was ur favorite character?? MOBY JONES, Mac, Luether, Psymon, Eddie, Brodi, Elise, Zoe and a bunch more.. post comments and love for the game here

In case everyone didn't hear by now, New SSX: Deadly Descents game, world premier at spike vga 2010. Check it out! Lots of mixed feelings but dammit we haven't seen gameplay and it's A NEW SSX GAME for crying out loud! Apparently supposed to be real world locations and battle against elements, blizzards, avalanches etc and in the trailer guy bails into a squirrel suit escape. People so far are saying it's too Black Ops-ish and too much grit, not as bright and neon as the first, I say just wait for the gameplay trailers. Also rumoured to have base jumping, para skiing, ice climbing etc?

well somethin said it was made by the makers of skate which should be a good thing. itll be different than the old ssx games but hopefully its not like what this trailer shows

i think the big thing for the trailer was to show it was going to be more realistic because i believe (correct me if i am wrong) was a con for on tour and blur

Ssx and skate hav both always been made by ea I think but maybe they've just completely changed the dynamics or something like flicking the right analog stick to pop unread of x?

hah funny I was just playing ssx on tour last night.

the game is so damn easy though. first time picking it up in months and im just blasting double flip 1080's off of rails etc.

one of my fave things to do is to "tail press" into a jump and do sick corks.

honestly though the fact that it is so easy is a drawback for me.

I play skate 3 on hardcore and land all kinds of corks and sick licks. I think a difficulty like that would be satisfying for ssx deadly descents.

and they'd better have skiing

I used to go to my friends house just to play that game. He wasn't into skiing as much as I was, so It really pissed him off. But I would play that game for hours, cried for months when It broke.

judging by the 30 second trailer i saw, the new ssx shoul be sickkk, definitely a big departure from the rest of the series

the way to get tricky off the bat is to immediatly go onto the fence on the left and stay on long enough and you get tricky and still get to go off the cliff

I've only owned SSX Blur, awesome game. I used to play it in my touque and goggles.

As of today, I'm more into We Ski And Snowboard; I love that I can take up to 6 mins. to ski Jamboree from summit to base or even longer if I stop to admire the Lake Tahoe lake in the background. and the heli op's mountain has some really gnarly lines and at the peak there's a poosibility of actually setting off an avalanche. My record base-to-peak charging time is 2:42.

I wouldn't define "realistic" as whipping out a pair of wings to fly off a massive cliff after hitting an impossible line, but I could e wrong. And how about throwin snow balls in On Tour. I loved pickin off the ski patrollers/gapers/etc.

Idk, I stopped playing that game at least three years ago and have since sold my ps2, but i remember i would always have snowball fights with my friends on that game when ever they came over.

I dono if anyone posted this but this is the plot of the new game.

Redefining the SSX franchise, SSX: Deadly Descents will pit riders versus both mountain and man. Players will explore the story of a team who seek to be the first to descend the faces of the most treacherous mountain ranges on the planet. The team will travel the world to face the worst that Mother Nature can throw at them. From the peaks of the Himalayas, where the air is so thin that riders have to descend through the death zone at breakneck speeds to keep from blacking out, to the solid ice ranges of Antarctica, where a sunlit line is the only survival option when temperatures drop 50 degrees centigrade in the shade. And the mountain isn’t the only danger players will face. In SSX: Deadly Descents the first goal is to survive. The second, in true SSX fashion, is to look good doing it.


It doesnt look like there will even be a park.

i rarely play video games but when i do i still have my playstation 2 since i have no desire in buying an xbox or ps3 but i still have ssx ssx tricky ssx 3 n ssx on tour and they seem to never get old haha i think i might just go play one now
