Why are my SPK's so hard to put on?

They fit fine once they get on but when putting them on it hurst so damn bad and i hate it. Is their something doing wrong?

Please help

Mine were like that too, until I replaced my crappy original liners with Intuition liners.

That's probably a good thing. Better to have a boot thats painful to but on but proper fitting, than to have a boot that goes on easy but then gives you pain while actually skiing.

Make sure your boots are warm. Cold boots are a bitch to put on sometimes.

yeah this makes a big difference... i threw my boots in the back of my friends pickup on the way to the hill... that was a mistake

I never skied my original liners in my second pair of spks, i put intuitions in them right away. As a boot fitter, i cant recommend this enough. Lighter boots, warmer feet, minimize potential shin bang, and most important, it makes the boot fit a lot 'snugger', resulting a more powerful all mountain boot feel(dependent on foot shape, liner mold, and liner type, but the most typical result). I use a power wrap silver, with regular fit mold, and it is amazing.

Getting my boots of often has a strikingly similar resemblance to giving birth. At least they fit perfect once they're on.

take your liners out, put foot in liner, put liner/foot into boot shell. its way easier and it doesnt hurt your feet nor will it screw up your sock or anything like that. also for anyone who actually uses footwarmers its pretty much the only way to get your feet into a regualar boot and still have the warmers where you want them

There are tactics you can use like putting the tounges down and to the side. It's way easier getting your feet in. All advise here is great. Plus k

So i took out my liners and made and a nice discovery...The red part on the back of th eboot that looks like its function is to stabelize your shins you can make it higher up on your calf or lower. I took a tool to it and made it much higher... i think by doing this it gives my foot some more room to get in.

Idk tho it might not have done anything
