Well I mean you need to add a Thule or something to put skis on anyway, just right on the roof rack. I guess I'm just kind of confused by what your saying, but I have a rack that fits 6 pairs of skis on mine and it works out great.

Subaru Forester.  Mild offroad abilities, with nice dry road handling, plus it has a ton of room inside.  I remember being the only kid to get out of a party with ease one night.  We were partying by a creek and 3 hicks had a really hard time getting past this muddy slope in their lifted trucks and I just hummed on through without slipping after they tore the shit out of the place.

I have the 6-pair THULE as well, I had an overpacked car this weekend with 3 snowboards, 3 pair of skis, 6 kids and all of their stuff.

To get to the snow yesterday we drove up the access roads on the mountain and shit was really hairy at some points.  The ground clearance was just enough to get through everything.

Plus, I LOVE driving it in the snow.

Roomy, handles well, won't ever get stuck (in normal situations haha), and with the ski rack, you really can't beat it.



Of course you guys can post all of these crazy and expensive trucks, but I am living my own little dream in my lesbo-mobile, go fuck yourselves.

we shall see how my subaru handles this winter,

its an 06 impreza wagon and i just put rally spec. snow tires on it (dirt cheap too!) so it should be more than adequate.

I wouldn't go so far as to say that Subarus have a shit ton of horsepower, and what does horsepower matter anyway when you're trying to plow through a foot of snow. It's all about torque in that case.


I think this is the best ski truck, probably because it's mine. The back seat is roomier than just about any car you'll get into and a lot of SUV's too. 381 horsepower and 401 lb-ft of torque. Only downside is 13.5 MPG.

my parents have an 05 nissan Pathfinder and that thing can really handle some snow, the traction control really wont let anything get out of hand, and it has plenty of room inside for gear, my personal favorite is my 03 2.5RS however that thing is sooo much fun to drive in the snow, and when it isnt snowy taking the backroads to the mountain is just that much more fun

this. My xterra kills it everywhere. best snow vehicle i have ever driven. I even went all ken block and drove it on the ski slopes after the mountain closed. its a complete boss. plus they are surprisingly quick for an SUV and will slide on all four tires on asphalt instead of rolling like jeeps.

toyota tacoma. the top gear crew drove several of them to the fucking north pole, and then drove one up a fucking volcano.

plus they will last forever (barring any transmission problems) and actually do ok on gas.

I guess torque is more important than horsepower. But probably the most important things are grip and clearance. Like you could have a truck with 400ft/lbs of torque, but If you can't grip all that power is gonna do is make it easier to spin out.

thankfully that's why we have 4wd, put that power to work!

gimmick? no. my back seat did not fold down so i had to put the ski box up. best decision ever. you can get all your buddies to come, yet still have plenty of room to pass that blunt around.

oh and yeah, you can keep your beer cold in there as well if you'd like.
