So 60% of the time detox is not needed

after my 5 years in college i have come to the conclusion that probly 60% of the people who go to detox don't need it. think about it. most people who go, don't get the stomach pumped or eat charcoal, they are just there for observation. The only reason you should go is if your pulse is super weak. If someone is puking uncontrollably too bad for them, throw a backpack on them so they cant sleep on their back and let them sleep it off in the bathroom.

bottom line, if you go to the hospital cause "you drank too much" and they don't pump your stomach, you a bitch. oha and passed out mother fuckers that you can't wake up are funny, not scary. just check the pulse every so often.

Why do people like drinking so much? It's an honest question. I've been all kinds of drunk and I've never really enjoyed it. Maybe I'm just a pussy though.

haha ya it does, they will either pump your stomach if you still have it in there, or they will give you charcoal to eat to absorb some of the alcohol.

Haha and how is someone gonna die if ur checking their pulse to make sure its not super fast or weak? people just over react soooo much. i know so many people who early in college wasted a couple hundred dollars going to the hospital, and just sleeping there. getting no treatment at all, other than a bed and observation.

my friend was throwing up and passed out the other week. we stupidly took him to this 24/7 deli to get food, and he ended up like falling out of the car in the parking lot, and it made a scene, and someone called the cops, and he had to be taken away by ambulence. it was really stupid because the cops got involved and all that, but he was absolutely fine, he just needed to sleep

im the other way. when i drink, nothing phases me, im more social and have more fun, and do things that i wouldn't normally do (in a good way, like make a move on a really hot girl).

when i smoke, i just feel weird, and im so cluttered with my own thoughts that i cant pay attention to anything else. so i end up sitting on the couch, basically alone, just thinking. maybe it would be fun to smoke alone, but i've never done it.

occasionally, if someone has it, i will take a hit from a joint or something when im drinking, just because im drunk and stupid. i do feel it a little bit, but as i drink more, the effects get masked

This is not a good thing to tell a bunch of 14 year olds on the internet. Maybe you and I and prolly a few others on tha site have enough drinking experience to know the difference between when shits ok and when someones going down hard. i agree. Ive only called an ambulance once and it was ten minutes after walking into a party where a bunch of little retards were taking cellphone pics of their comatose buddy.he was hardly breathing at all and his pulse was so faint we could barely find it. Kids heart stopped in the ambulance but they used a defib and brought him back. He wouldve been dead on the kitchen floor and his friends wouldve still been bragging to each other that they had taken 6 shots.... Not good advice
