Pole Straps

Does everyone keep their pole straps on?

Mine are waay to long, and always slip off or get in my way. So today I pulled them off. I realize now I have tp have a death grip on them at all times, but they are lighter and easier to throw around now. Just wondering if anyone else has done this with any success?

Not if im in the woods...dont wanna get your pole snagged on something and then have your arm ripped off...

If you wear your straps the correct way that chances of being hurt from this are pretty low.

yeah i wear them, just because dropping them and having to hike back and pick them up is one of the most annoying things to do

I always use my pole straps. It's a bitch to have to hike up and get a pole.

I wear mine because I sorta have to, because of the way the Team Issue handles are made, the straps really get in the way and it's a pain, the only way is to cut em off and there's no way I'm doing that, these handles are really good, I transfer them from pole to pole, and straps are super useful when you ride deep pow

Ive been hurt too many times by my pole straps to keep them around anymore.

get your pole straps to the length you want, then take duct tape and tape the end of the straps.

Never wear them, just get that death grip going. They usually stay with me even if I bail.

Same I know somebody who dislocated their shoulder really bad because of getting it caught in something under the snow. Now it's straps off when in the woods, other then that always on.

usually i do. one time i had them on while riding the lift up and decided to tap the pole as i went by. not the smartest idea, my pole got caught on the ladder up and i almost lost my arm. never did that again

wait, you need a certain glove and the pole like locks to it? thats dumb, I think. Might be useful for racers?

Yah you need the glove. That's the race model, but yah i think it's ridiculous with the stuff they're coming out with these day's.

Not on the pair i have. On mine it is just a little strap harness thing that goes on to your glove so you can use any glove

I only wear them when im hiking so i can just let them hang.... but my friend has this transferable clip on his glove that clicks into his pole. it seems like it works really well. and he can change it to a different glove if needed.

I wear the straps, if you wear them right it makes it easier to push with the poles because you can push on the strap, plus my straps have a release clip so if my pole gets stuck in anything i wont get my arm ripped off.

everywhere i go i use the straps. and it appears some of you dont know the proper way to wear them. PSA: put your hands through the straps and let the poles hang, next put hands over straps and grip the handles, good to go
