Stephen Hayes sent to death row. (finally)

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – "A Connecticut man was condemned to death Monday for a night of terror inside a suburban home in which a woman was strangled and her two daughters tied to their beds, doused in gasoline and left to die in a fire."

also-

"Hayes was convicted of six capital felony charges, three murder counts and two charges of sexually assaulting Hawke-Petit. The capital offenses were for killing two or more people, the killing of a person under 16, murder in the course of a sexual assault and three counts of intentionally causing a death during a kidnapping. He was sentenced to death for all six."

I don't know if any of you have heard about this, but this guy is fucked up. He raped an 11 year old and 17 year old, probably the mother too, tied them to their bedpost and poured gasoline and watched them burn.. And made the mom take money out of the bank and give it too him. The father had to watch it all whil being beaten.

I live in the town over from where this happened. It was a tragic to hear about this. all the surrounding towns went into a lock down type of thing because the men where on the run for a little while. It was hard to think about how i once met the older girl at a football game and now she is gone and making national headlines about her death. May the Petit family rest in peace...

I always thought it would be interesting to see how many holes you can drill in a person before they bleed out.

I agree with making him hate whatever life he has left but at the same time its your tax dollars that would be feeding him. $50,000 a year to feed and pay the guards who guard him lets say he lives 30 years. $50,000 x 30 = 1.5 million dollars. that could be used to feed homeless or help orphaned children. i say take a .22 round that costs .25 cents and save your self $1,499,999.75 that would be put to better use.

they should combine both ideas. use gnartron's idea on him and give him a date for him to die, but then like the day of you tell him they had to push back the date for x reason. that way, hes just counting down the days til he dies, just wishing it comes quicker, then you're like sorry bud, we'll kill you in a month instead, just hang in there

Exactly what I was thinking, bring him to one of those secret prisons that nobody knows about (like in FaceOff!) and have him tortured and shit there for the rest of his life.. Like he did to an innocent family.

yes to the death penalty but fuck with his mind by moving him to the cell where live for 10 days before they are killed and on day 10 put a hood on him and put him back in his cell for another amount of time before doing it again. that would fuck with his mind much more, and make sure his cell is unpadded with one light bulb and thats it.

I just respect the fact that the guy who had to go through the worst of it said something like that. Instead of proposing a much more gruesome judgement, like burning him to death.

I think they should lock him up in a confined dark cell for life and feed him garbage.

I think they should kill him in the most inhumane way possible. I would put a 10x10 cell underground and have no light going to it at all. put him down there and don't give him and food or water. Have him rot in there, but still watch him suffer because of the smell of his own shit and piss on the floor. Just have it black and cold as possible, but not cold enough for him to catch hypothermia. That would do the job I think. That way you don't have to pay guards to watch over him, or pay for food, or electricity for a light.
