It apparently is, yes.

It is one of the sillier things I have seen in a while.  If they had a sick(and large) area of the mountain that they only opened up to people with this pass, then I could see it for someone ultra wealthy.  As it is I really don't see 10k worth of benefits in what they are offereing.

There is definately a market out there for this kind of thing. If I was in line and got snaked by some rich guy there would definately be hundreds of snowballs flying at his head and the lifty that let him through.

There isn't a person on this message board who would turn down an opportunity like this if it was available to them. It's definitely a stupid way to market your mountain, but I can only imagine how much vert you could ski in a day when the mountain is at its busiest.

Have this at my mountain, it's only for people who bought real estate on the mountain. Pass is $1,000 annually and you get to cut the lines on certain lifts. It's not a bad deal for the people who have a condo on the mountain, but I don't like people getting the treatment in line though.

Still though 10g's to cut the lines sounds out of most people's price range. Don't seeing this being a big success.

Not worth anywhere near that. I thinks its kinda funny that you can do a lot of that stuff by just working at a resort and making friends with the right people. And lift line priority? Anyone who takes a lesson gets that, at a lot less than 10000

you can get a 27,000 YEARLY membership to the 'seven summits club' you can bring a friend skiing every day and you get to get on early trams when ever you want, and cut lines.

At first I was like..... shit... thats a lot of money.

Then I remembered my days of when I worked front desk at the Village in Mammoth and 1 night in a 3 bedroom over christmas cost $1,400 a night. Then I remembered that an all day window ticket is $92 a day. Then I remembered that the paralax dinner is something like $100 per person. Then I remembered that all day demo skis and boots costs $90....


Then I remembered that we had all to many people with $5000 + bills by the time they checked out. So considering this covers an entire season and $15,000 gets you a full seasons worth for a family... aint so bad. Sounds like airfare might be included as well... and if that is... I'd be going up every single weekend.

yea man i'm w/ you on this one.  if i had 10k that i could spend on a ski pass, i'd probly pay off my truck and move to utah.  then again, if you can spend 10k on a pass, you're probly not hurtin' for cash.  where you go to school? near mountains i hope!

The people who will buy this are the same people who drop 300K a year on their country club membership, and CEO's of companies like Citibank and Disney who take clients on business meetings to these places for lunch on their G4's. It's a different world, 10k is like an expensive dinner with a client.
