Hdr-hc7

Does anyone on NS have this camera? I'm out looking for a new camera, but my dad has a hdr-hc7, and would let me use it if I wanted. It's 1080i, but only 3 MP. Should I get something else, or use it?

interlaced is pretty garbage compared to progressive.

i would look for a camera that shoots 1080p at 30p and 24p and maybe even 720p at 60p.

What about the Canon HV series? Like the HV-40

HV40s are a good camera to start with, you wont be disappointed with one.
