My computer just shit out after my warranty and some habeeb wanted me to pay $60 just for them to tell me I need a new motherboard. Well so I think, basically the comp does not turn on with or with out battery in. Charger fine, last time I shut it down it was about 70%. OR it can be some power rail? anyone have any ideas? Also how much would it cost and where to go to get my hard drive extracted, got a lot of vids I did not back up with the external!

Don't get me wrong, I'll never use anything but a Mac at this point, but I just bricked my hard drive for the second time the other day, now I have to drive 2 hrs home to pick up the boot disks (and a new hard drive, though i could pick that up locally) before I can use my comp again. RAGING

It could be a number of things. Motherboard is probably a good bet. Unfortunately because it's a laptop, repairs are going to be pretty expensive unless you know how to fix it yourself. Also, if you are looking into buying a new one, don't immediately go to a Mac. Although Mac makes very nice machines, depending on what you use your machine for, a PC may be better. Go to a computer forum and ask questions. Do research into machines you are interested in and most importantly, read UNBIASED reviews (Consumer Report is NOT the be-all-end-all of reviews, in fact, the more a company pays them, the better their products are. Weird huh?).

for free. :D

i fucked up mine a month ago, all u have to do is call em, book an appointment with a "geek" and give them an hour, they will reinstall it, and get u a new hard drive. oh and the guy who did mine, took my mac apart, and blew out all the dust inside and everything, he put a new screw on the bottom, and everything. apple is dope.
