Gettin allll ripped up

So i wanna get a little more ripped up but i know i cant go to the gym for a long time every day due to long work hours, and wanting to do stupid shit after work. can anyone give me some suggestions for things like P90X etc? i'm an athletic guy and would love a super intense 30-45 minute per day workout rather than driving to the gym and staying there for an hour every day, it just wont happen. oh and dont say just make your own routine it's imperative that some douchebag is on the tv screen telling me what to do

i know there are some ripped up dudes on here so any help would be much appreciated, thanks

1) Work part of body until you actually can't do anymore reps etc.
2) Next body part.
3) Repeat and cycle until jacked as fuck.

Just do fucking Starting Strength. Drink lots of milk, do your Starting Strength, and you will gain significant muscular body mass. Those douchebags telling you what to do generally are for people who want a quick fix and don't wanna actually expend the effort. If you don't wanna squat 3x a week, then ask JayDope for his plan. I heard he's preeeee shredded. Obviously he has chicken twig legs, but hey, he gets babes.

my dad does crossfit and hes sooo ripped. it's the workout the spartan actors did to get ripped for 300. I dont think the workouts are very long but they're super hard

Xfit sorta gets you shredded, sorta gets you in better cardiovascular shape, and sorta makes you stronger. It doesn't do one thing really well, and that's it's essential failing. WOD are hard as shit, but they don't do much for upper body development.

Honestly, p90x is real tough if you actually follow the workout and have a good diet plan. You will be in amazing shape.

Now if you just wanna get big, then get on some supplements and get some dumbells for your basement. That would be the bare minimum. Check out bodybuilding.com They have a whole lot of informational stuff.

for my legs not being in proportion to my upper body i do work them out twice a week, and they are fairly strong for my weight stuart, but i did put up 315 on bench for 2 reps on my 4th set last week weighing 171 pounds

well im not really interested in getting so big, it's just i'm an athletic guy but im not playing sports on any teams anymore so i just want to keep in shape and get a bit stronger. how well will P90X work if im not doing a diet plan beyond trying to keep my eating within reason? my eating habits arent terrible but theyre not great all the time..

If you do p90x and follow everything, the diet and exercise plan, you will see results.But you have to stick with it.

say i stick with the workout plan (i'm an in shape, athletic guy and i can definitely get into mega intense workouts as opposed to long, drawn out workouts) but dont follow a diet really (i dont eat terribly but my eating schedule is usually eat just about nothing during the day, get high at night and eat). will i see a big improvement?

also anyone know how long of a workout each day it is for P90X? the ideal for me would be some ballbuster of a workout that is under an hour. the shorter the better, it can be hard as shit and i'll stick in there, but realistically i'm not going to do an hour+ workout every day after work

go swimming training so you get overall toned up

then go to gym/work out


eat plenty of high protein foods like eggs... but make sure you eat healthily too....

don't really have much more to say than that...

just go for 3 scoops of creatine before working out, if u take it without working out you just gain water weight

My dad did p90x and i joined him a couple of times. The workouts are like an hour and some are super intense. If I was actually on the program I could have stuck with it I think but I didn't really need to.

Think of your body as a finely tuned engine, and the food...well obviously the food is the fuel. You put in low octane piece of shit gas, then your workouts obviously aren't going to end very well, because you're not going to have the required intensity. Getting high decreases the amount of fat you can lose, and muscle you can gain. You can still get baked, just not EVERY day and expect the same results.

But don't overdo it. Twice a week for 40 minutes on an elliptical, or bike or something at a decent intensity is enough. Don't be a cardiowhore who does 6 days a week for an hour and a half at a time, then wonders why you can't get any stronger/bigger.
