safarisamCoworker collects guns, like has a few sheds of them, and sold me a 12g for $100
Yeehaw my hunting collection is complete.
Nova is a good gun! It's my pheasant gun....gets the job done!
I've been having issues with the firing pin recently which is annoying....but I took really shitty care or it when I was younger and beat the shit out of it for 13 years. Makes sense.
HypeBeastNah just ones hooked to a compressor until recently. This one has a butane/propane canister and I'm telling ya it's louder than a normal gun. About the dbs of a 0.22cal
Have you ever used a Ramset gunpowder nailgun? They are fun af and they kick like a real gun
Yeah I never liked them either. I hate the safety in in the middle of the trigger and the shape never fit my hand well. Much preferred s&w m&p. But I haven’t touched a hand gun in years so I could just be talking out my ass. Just have my WW2 Soviet and German rifles left.
HypeBeastI hate glocks. I know they're durable as fuck but just don't like em at all. However, respect for buying 10mm. That's a beast caliber.
Dude I got the thermal with this same design and it was so tiny. I was bummed. Like wtf. So so so tiny.

You got a Mosin? Probably one of my favorite old school guns to shoot. Powerful as fuck, and still accurate as hell with iron sights.
I think part of the reason I don't like glock is they're striker fired. Anesthetics are terrible. I'm very much a SA/DA, hammer kinda guy, but if I'm buying a striker fired weapon it won't be a glock. I know glocks are super reliable so nothing against them other than the fact you have to pull the trigger to disassemble them, and everyone and their mother has a glock. It's easy to clear a gun but people are dumb so the trigger requirement is retarded imo.
Also the best safety is your finger.
I really need to get a new pistol for concealed carry, and looking at either a subcompact Springfield or HK, more so HK. I bought a sig sp2022 3.9" barrel as my first handgun (got for a steal) and it's OK but sucks for ccw unless it's winter time.
Yeah a mosin and a kar98k. Technically a CZ N98 but it’s the same. I could get into the specifics (in fact, I’d LOVE to, but I won’t). Mosins kick like a mule. I’ve got a Tula ‘43 - the most common mosin. It was a gift and one I cherish. But the kar is my baby. Don’t get me started on that one.
PS they say you should always account for the sight of a mosin to pull one side (I can’t remember left or right) due to bayonet on the right and sighting of 300m. Ever fired Tula ammo out of Russia? It spits fire out the barrel. always fun.
H&K make amazing pistols. But I would be inclined to the Springfield from what I remember on price. Granted, I’m on old info. I was going to grab a pistol for 21st birthday so did a lot of research but rerouted last second to my N98 (whole story behind that). That was 9 years ago so..

ps funny story - I was dead set on a Swiss k31. Then I discovered the n98. The owner/seller was a head tooler at an AR manufacturer out of South Carolina. I discussed my thoughts with him and he convinced me that K31 ammo would go through the roof in price. I swear to god, the day I bought that Kar - 8mm prices went through the roof. Major laugh looking back.

Yeah springfield is still dirt cheap. Their subcompact has the best round to size ratio and you get extra mags. That's the appeal. On my sig I had to buy extra mags that were $50 each.... Blackpoint tactical went above and beyond to get me some mag holders too- highly recommended them. Their holsters are very good.
I got a 1943 mosin too but from Izhevsk factory. Bought it when I was in college right after Obama banned imports like a dick. Got a whole bunch of surplus silver tip corrosive ammo from the 70's. I'm paranoid so I bought go/no go discs to test the head space to make sure I didn't kill myself from an exploding gun. It was a fun project though to renew it. It was a second hand purchase and some dick sanded against the grain and left minor striations that made the wood less appealing (see below). I cleaned off the remaining cosmoline. Completely disassembled it and the bolt. Cleaned and repaired any pitted parts. I can't remember if I reblued it or not. Stripped the glossy stain that was on it and then restained it with Birchwood Casey products to bring out the natural finish. Looks real sexy now. I wish I had before/after pics cuz it was like night and day. The wood grain has a real cool tiger stripe pattern to it. My buddy has a Russian made AK with a wood stock; also an amazing gun to shoot.
But uh yeah this one's sights were dead on so that was surprising. I haven't tried anything far but it is reliably and easily accurate from 50yds.
Can you tell I like my Mosin lol.

Ooof I wanna fire a kar 98 so bad. Put plenty out of a garand, mosin and m1 carbine. Just need to cross that 98 off my list. Also been wanting to run down to the range to rent the Thomson they have just to cross that off.
Managed to find a pair of last years boots in my size for 30% off. Pretty hyped as it’s the only thing I needed for this season. Also just found out I can get footbeds paid for through my student benefit plan. Les go.

Also, for work:
How the hell do ya get footbeds paid for through student bennies
It's not the one I have, but it is a Colt New Service 44-40. 44 for a 40 grain load. Must have ear plugs!
Thing is old and worth bank. Very good condition. Have shot with it much.
depends, for precsision handguns, les baer no doubt, own a few, shot them for years, met the guys at shot etc, just incredible craftmanship
for USPSA, infinity, had to do some minor tuneup before nats now on main gun and sear, but hey, it has like 40-50k rounds through it so guess I cant complain, most of the frames has 6 digits. they are just so smooth.
for rifle and pcc I love JP , got the new 5 incoming shortly for pcc as well.
for old rifles.. lever action!!!! ohh yes give me a good lever action. for older rifles I will take the krag jørgensen 6.5x55, side loader and just darn accurate, we can get them from 0 to $100 here all day since they were surplus training and marksman rifles. for longer range rifles I will grat my 200STR (SSG3000)
Oh no, am I becoming a fitness bro buying this? Wanted something that would track my calories, heart rate, sleep, fitness, and synced with MyFitnessPal.
Very, very nice. I have a pair of ELs and have wanted a Swaro spotting scope for quite a while (I even have the tripod for it). I just can't justify it right now with how infrequently I use a spotter.
jblaskiSwaro? Look at you, moneybags. Enjoy your crystal clear optics while the rest of us are slumming it with our mid-tier Vortex's.
Yes, well lots of personal sacrifice has come with my salary - I'm sure more than most on this site - including not seeing my kids for months at a time throughout the pandemic because I was working 18-22 hour days and essentially living at my office... Those are moments that I would gladly trade a Swaro to get back. But since that's not possible, we'll put our new optics to use while on a twelve-day family moose+caribou hunt (kids and all) next month.
We recently sold our Vortex Viper 20-60x80 that I bought my husband as a wedding present in 2014. It was a decent scope, but it just doesn't cut it when trying to determine whether a Dall's sheep ram is legal or not (among other things)!
