DominatorJacquesClean and sober is hella awesome! Stoked as hell for you! Super love!
It's nice being able to remember what I'm talking about, still miss the herb when I get a wife but know if I smoke it once I'll have 5 bongs and a grow op within a month

Tolerance level is huge! If you do take a toke after going sober, just take one and wait!
I don't want you all shitty with anxiety curled up on a couch!
For a second there I thought you were buying some crazy strains of weed in bulk, that’s sick tho I need to get my wax game up for sure! Any tips for a beginner?

gorbdawggybrentsuper dope, my uncle paid for college fixing trail 90’s
Nice! Just waiting on a carb (this one is haggard) and then I thing it should be good to go! Hopefully going to have a ski rack on it by closing day, and a bike rack for the summer.
Thanks all! My kids might even be more excited than my husband and I are, if that's possible. It's our dream, too, and we love that it's on a slough rather than directly on the river (we have pre-schoolers). That, and it's directly across the slough from very close friends of ours, so it should make for awesome summers and (hopefully) tons of fish!
BrandoComandoThat's incredible. Congrats!

Splurged on a quality backpacking tent for this summer. Wanted something freestanding and lightweight, so I went with the Big Agnes Copper Spur HV UL1. This cool awning feature means I can cook meals if it's raining outside. Pretty stoked to test it in the coastal redwoods next month.

Badass! Big agnes makes good shit, I'm waiting for their sleeping bags to restock, gonna snag a sidewinder 20

I got the same tent, but the 2 person one. Love it. Super light weight.

Yeah - love Big Agnes! My kiddos have their bags. Haven't tried the adult ones but are considering getting bags for casual camping that are different than our hunting bags (Kifaru Slick Bags).

Sweet! Glad to hear you like it. I almost got a Nemo but they're so damn bright. I don't wanna advertise my big bright expensive tent for everyone to see. I've heard too many horror stories about theft

Is tent theft really a big issue? Like people stealing it while it's set up and you're out hiking or something? That's fucked!

Wow sick tent, awning will be clutch for cooking. Unless it's raining sideways haha
Just picked up a sleeping pad from Big Agnes, an Air Core Ultra, stoked to take it out this weekend. Also just put down a deposit on an A Basin pass for next year, so damn excited about it. Was kicking myself all year this year for missing the pass deadline.

Also intrigued by this. I have a Nemo and it never even crossed my mind. That awning feature looks clutch though, I sometimes end up carrying and extra UL tarp and some cord when I think it's gonna pour.

as dumb as Reddit can be sometimes, /r/ultralight is a pretty good sub for gear reviews. There’s a few threads where people leave their tents for the day and come back to find them missing. It seems like it’s usually only happened near trailheads or car campsites. But if I can choose between two equally good tents, I’ll pick the one that attracts less attention

Once you get away from trailheads and roads etc. everyone out there is only there to hike so even if you had the flashiest tent there is, you could be pretty confident about it staying safe. Depends really where you're planning to mainly hike.
I do find /r/ultralight good for some gear reviews just cause it is such a niche hobby. But as a whole, they do come off as quite elitist and overly proud of themselves.

Completely agree with both points. Hikers are one of the friendliest groups out there. Redditors on the other hand, are often full of themselves

Considering getting the Bikepack 2 person version of this with the smaller poles and more compact stuff sack for strapping to handlebars.
