i know of people that are homeschooled. they are usually lonners or they are friends with anybody. id rather go to school and i hate school as well. id get bord cuz on breaks there would be noone to talk to or do something with except like your mom.

when you are homeschooled, you only have to do 3 of 4 hours of school per day

Go for it you'd probably be able to work so much faster and get more vacations and stuff. You will be missing out on social and school activities though.

easier, yes, but do you want to spend your day with your mom? plus you won't get any computer classes, or art classes. only people i know who are homeschooled are loners with no friends. my cousin was homeschooled, then went to highschool and was soo excited about it and loves it much more. hes a loser, but hes happy.

i'd imagine it would be nice to be homeschooled in the core classes then go to normal school for electives and sports and stuff.

I'm considering home schooling. I truly hate school, I don't get much out of it I am always high and most of my social fun takes place outside of school. I would definitely do home schooling mainly because it would give me more time to ski, but I do video tech so it doesn't really matter because that takes up a half day anyway.

i hate school a lot, but my parents would be worse, they are a pair of slave drivers when it comes to school. i have heard that a lot of kids around mammoth just homeschool, and only do actual school work after skiing... and they are getting damn good doing that....

i cant go to normal school next year because of skiing and competing and stuff
i have to either go to open door or get homeschooled, or take 6 months off school
i havent decided yet, homeschool seems like the worst choice tho...

if i could do it all over again, i would go homeschooled, and ski every day. it's been 4 years since graduation, and the only people i still talk to is my old roomie because we would ski all the time, and my girlfriend until she became my x-girl. so lets see, now i only talk to one person from high school. it was a total waste of time, a big daycare was all it was.

yeah if you are going to go to college, homeschooling isn't a bad idea, because the social situation in high school is puked up crap compared to the bomb ass living setup in college. i barely ever talk to any of the kids i went to HS with, but it's my fifth year of college and i'm still really good friends with a bunch of the kids i met here my freshman year. and you don't get to ski as much in college so if homeschooling gets you more skiing then go for it

i suppose if youve already been in public school and your sick of it then its the way to go. i know this kid that came from a lifetime of homeschooling and this year he came to high school he was a freshman and im a senior. and i had to like watch him becuase i was on the soccer team and kids were fucking with him it was horrible. his name is issac, so everyone on the team either called him 'jesus' or 'moses' and he never understood people were making fun of him. it was like watching a young deer walk right into a field on a hunting show on espn or something. i dunno

wow, i would never do it, i seriously don't want to spend that much time every day with my mom... and think about it, if your mom is anything like mine, youll have to do shit for her non stop, and at least i would even much rather spend that time doing homework.... you really dont want to be around your parents when you have nothing to do. anyway, i hate school, but i would much rather spend the day at school with my friends then stuck at home doing nothing.

all these people from my church are homeshcooled. they have no sence of social skills at all, and dont get the sense of the real world. it's like their mommies shield them from it or something. no matter how much u hate school, i would stay in it, there is so more u get out of it than homeschooling.

yet being homeschooled could be the way to go for some ..although i argee to many of your comments...some people that do home school or coraspondance they may not get a sense of the 'REAL WORLD' this could be true but also not... it just depends on the person that does it really... next year i am doing coraspondance and getting a part time job.. :) and im only 15 i hate schools and being at them but i love people... :) so it really depends on the person like if u stayed at home 24-7 Yikes then i would say ya u got no social skills but if u go out to party's, chill with friends, and are socialable then u got really nothing to worry about its just like going to another school but theres no one else in the school other than u! u would keep all ur old friends... lol

if someone is homeschooled for all of their life they are fucked for life basically, you dont learn any social skills and that pretty much screws you over

well i am homeschooled and i have a great social life. i havent been homeschooled on the hill before all the little kid. i owe homeschooling to my love of sking if i had been in school i dont think i would have really started skiing.
so if your folks are cool and you dont mind not being with all your freind until afterschool then i would say go for it.

theres a kid in acouple of my classes who was homeschooled up until this year. (9th grade) the kid is the biggest wack job ever. he cant talk and when he does he sounds retarded, he never does anything right, and all he does is stare at the hot girls. the really sad part is he doesnt even look away when the ask him what the hell he's doing....hes really creepy
