I've never heard much of diplo's work other than that "hey" song.

I thought fuck it....i'll dl his electric zoo set.


Heard it and was like....damn dude is big in to dubstep and house. Hearing him mash-up the genres is awesome.

he def. has some great work.

ugh, diplo fell down one rung on my respect ladder, no DJ should ever use a mic. the whole "New York City! Having a good time tonight?!" every few minutes killed the diplo boner. he's still way up there though.

after giving it a second listen, this time with my full attention and not being sleep-deprived, I decided it was actually one of the worst diplo mixes I've heard. no offense factory81, but it just didn't do it for me. his mixing was basic, with his voice interrupting every 3 minutes I could never get into it with out being rudely jerked out of the music, and any mix that plays more than two dubstep tracks is automatically clumped into "I'm just playing this trend-whorey shit to please the teens who just discovered non-top 40 music". It's almost an insult to have Diplo, the man behind mad decent, with all of his really unique and inspired takes on everything from hip-hop, rap, reggae, electro, rock, and pop, to play something as trendy and fad-like as dubstep. He might as well have played a few Bieber tracks while he was at it.

i agree 100%, but do you have links to other stuff? i had a couple diplo sets that were unbelievable and then when my hard drive crashed i couldn't find them anywhere.

haha oh boy. as posted by somebody else, the major lazer essential mix is awesome. I wasn't too big a fan of Diplo's essential mix from back in 07 though. maybe I just like his production, and not his mixing is all.
