Replying to Can we give M&A some subforums please?
I know this has been brought up before with B/S/T, and it would be great if it happened there too, but M&A could use some organization and uncluttering and shouldn't be forgotten. I'd like to propose 4 new "sub-forums" to separate all the broad topics that are put in there. It's not asking for much (or at least I hope its not!) and with site update time coming around in a few months i'd be nice to include it in the process. Anyways, I nominate the following four categories:
Photo/Video: With the new HDSLRS coming out, the line between photography and cinematography is growing closer and closer. Both have very similar elements and overlap in several areas, but their still will be space for each to have specific topics regarding either/or.
Music and Art: I'll admit that I'm a huge photo/video nerd. I love going to dedicated forums and reading all I can about them. Recently there has been a ton of music threads in the media and arts (which aren't a bad thing, I love getting new music from other people!), but I'd be nice to collect them up in a separate subforum to make finding things that people want much easier. Art projects, such as visual media and shirt designs, would fit well in here too and give them some space to talk amongst themselves.
Critique and Contests:This thread would be for posting your works, be it music, videos, photos, that you wish to gain constructive criticism and feedback as to how you can improve your work. The contest threads would also go great in here and would remove some of the clutter (several threads for each does speed M&A up!), and make voting easier to find and do.
M&A B/S/T Photo, video, music, and art gear is hard to sell and find among the billions of XL SAGA SALE and WTB JIBERISH!1! threads. It would be awesome to have a nice corner when this type of gear could be sold and those that are looking for it could go to without having to search through several pages of clutter.
Feedback and opinions would be great, hopefully we could get this ball rolling!
