i thought the airport scene in mw2 went too far, but this....

sorry, but as someone who has lived on base for extended periods of time i see absolutely nothing wrong with this.

the military still sorta controls all of the franchises run on base. they can tell them not to sell shit if they want to.

Sure that makes sense. You can play as america and kill everyone else, but as soon as somebody makes it so you can play as somebody else everyone cries about it.

War is fucking retarded unless necessary. We haven't had a necessary war in a while.

in cod multiplayer half the time your killing british troops. its not like this game is glorifying it in a story mode. theres two teams, so somebody has to be the bad guys.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that it's only banned from being sold on base and if someone wanted to they could purchase it off base.

and the people they arent allow to buy this game are actually going out and risking their lives for the country. not some high ranking pawn that sits in the pentagon eating donuts and drinking coffee.

I thought it made sense, until i realized that its just the multiplayer, which has been like that forever. Just another example of a group of people who dont actually understand something making an uneducated decision. I could understand more if they banned ALL the games that did that, but singling one out is pretty stupid.

They are only banning it from being sold ON BASE. You can still go buy it off base and play it on base or when your deployed or whenever. I don't blame them for not selling it on base i think that would be upsetting to family members who live on base, especially after the media blows this epically out of proportion.

This is actually the most intelligent post on this subject so far.  The whole thing is just a waste of ink.  A lot of military members don't live on base anyway.  They go to Wal-mart, not the BX.  I haven't been to the BX in months.  It's not stopping anything, people are going to get it anyway.

This is actually the first I've even heard of it, further proving the effects are minuscule at best.
