I have a question,

Currently i'm still riding on my 161 Salomon Ten Eightys from '05 (Yeah Laugh al you want :P student=poor, they are in pretty good nick though. And yes they are pretty small right now.) With the glorious Salomon S912Ti binding btw.


When i first got them they were mounted at the recommended setting which is roughly 70mm back from true center. Now I'm thinking about getting them remounted more towards true center. For supposedly improved park performance.
In a week or so I will go on vacation for a week in the Alps, probably the last time I will use them apart from some urban.

I've heard about problems with the foam core getting waterlogged and of course remounting would expose that delicate core. (Unless the holes are plugged properly.


So would it be worth it?

Give it a go!
Center mount them or let a shop do it. Just be sure you close the holes with epoxy and you should be fine.
If you plan to do some urban on those old skis a center mount would be good aswell.

A Rossignol rep at our comp told me that replacement FKS brakes can be ordered through ski shops, when i showed him my destroyed brakes (got XL instead of L, my bad)
I've heard and read before that people weren't able to fix a brake without mailing it to rossi HQ or some.
anyone have a comment? otherwise this is just some kind of fyi i guess.

im 14 90lbs 5'5 and im deciding between coreupt yards and atomic punx. im doing 60% rails and 40% jumps. and just a little powder once a month at most. ive pretty much decided on the punx but i want some last opinions on it.

I think the punx would be a better choice because from what I understand they're softer and at your weight softer is better.

how do you keep your helmet securely on your head without ear pads? i know i can tighten the strap but i dont like the feeling of being choked, and when i do something the helmet lifts, even though it fits

how about washing with something like this? http://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/products/productdetail.php?productid=4 as opposed to washing with general clothing detergent.

Picked my self up some used EP pro's recently, and looking for bindings. I've found a pair of Tyrolia peak 12's for cheap but I get the impression these aren't that higher quality binding. It's a high enough din for me (usually around 8 for me), and I'm gonna be using the EP's for what you'd expect them to be used for.

Shall I go for the Tyrolia's or put out the extra cash for something better? Getting the peak 12's for about $100 or so.

Any advice would be appreciated, cheers.

Ohhhhhh. Hmmm. Well it depends on if you like attracting attention to yourself. If you do then go yellow. But if you want darker colors then go with the black. Personally i kinda like the yellow. The maroon on the yellow pants would tie in very nice with the jacket! Just my two cents.

I'm 200lbs adn ski an 8/9 and I went with deadbolt(tyrolia) 15s because of the added strenght and how the DIN range is 5-15, which puts me right In the middle. I wanted a binding that I won't have to replace.

Yo so I have a binding question, how long do you ski on a pair before you get new ones, or do you just keep using it until it blows up? I'm only on my 3rd season of about 10 days per season on some 10 DIN marker bindings and I am 5'6" and 140 lbs. I think they're set at 7 or 6.5.

anyone else have a problem because their crowbars are to thick for their helmet so they goggles are like 3/4 of an inch away from the helmet
