I can actually ski rather well. Haha. That just wasn't one of my finer moments. That run is in the shaddows so it gets really icy. Idk how to explain it but I lost my edge then got it again and that threw me off. The rest is just stupidity. And I wouldn't call 159 k2 silencers nice. Especially when your 6'1". Haha

i saw that those were silencers, and yes they truly suck.. your profile says you have some 4frnts.. and sorry but most people learn to ski before they own multiple pairs of skis and huge amounts of clothes. now i feel like a jerk.. but that vid is embarrassing man.

Haha thanks for sticking up for me but hopefully she knows that's not an everyday thing for me and that's why I posted it. We actually saw a snowboarder slide down on the way up the lift then the guy behind me had the same thing happen.

I got the 4frnts for this season. I definately know how to ski though. And I like don't own any outerwear but those, some cheap quicksilvers and an old jacket... Well I pre ordered a new one. I find it more funny than embarrasing but maybe it's because that's the first time I've done anything that stupid on skis. It was also one of those weekends where you get some work done on your skis and they decide to turn your edges into knifes so I got too much grip. I like to be sliding on my edges a bit. Lol and I know that vid doesent show it very well but I've been skiing for like 10 years

Yes. I realize that. That's why it's funny. But seriosly. That was I think my second run on a double black ever and it was icy. I didn't really know what to do kuz It was steep enough that my boots were on the snow instead of my edge. I'd like to see half the kids on this site ski down that when it's that icy.

your being a bitch, i wanna see you get your ass outa the fucking kitchen and ride tht ice, see what happens then. and nothing on cameras looks as steep as it really is, everyone knows that. and who cares what kind of skis you have, and gear you wear, it does not matter what ability level you are. my friend i ski with all the time, she has Line Shaddow's and Firstdrop. she can 180 thats it. do i tell her " ohh you suck, go get ski lessons before you buy that shit! " ? no, i would never do that. becasue, it doesnt even matter. if i was on the icy slope, i woulda slid down it too, but not on my as.. so please. just.

Uhh its possible when you live in north carolina. The only double black in the state is open for like 2 weeks a season and its at a really annoying mtn. And look at the shadow of my ski when i'm on the ground. Gopros take the pitch off of everything. Seriosly. a ski doesent make like a 10 foot shadow on a blue

Cut the bullshit about the camera making it look less steep, he clearly looks up the hill and its not that steep. Your friend clearly has money to waste, and sorry  but when you post poor skiing on a skiing forum people are going to take notice.

Uhh its pretty steep. Its not that hard of a slope when its not covered in ice. If you want I can have people that ski around there come in and tell you that its a double black since you dont believe me. I have one picture of me skiing down a blue because I was with my aunt and my 10 year old cousin who cant ski down anything even relatively steep. Its not an impressive pic at all... but if you dont think I can ski I'll post it just so you can see that I have decent form and all.

as you can see I can ski. Although thats not a hard run at all its the only pic I have because when I go skiing I tend to worry more about having fun than taking pictures. Notice the people behind me(probably what the mejority of you guys thought I skied like)

Good for you and your Gopro, this clearly isn't powder and he clearly looks up at the hill after, clearly showing that its not steep. Maybe you have issues using your poles and edges but I'm not fucking retarded, and I'm pretty happy with my out of park skiing.

ok i think you got him confused with me. He said HE has videos of him skiing powder. My video obviosly isnt powder. And it is steep. If you had a gopro you would know. Its really wide angle and it dostorts the pitch. seriosly. My skis were really sharp that day tho so it kinda caught me off gaurd when they caught really fast. I dont like my skis that sharp

I know I SHOULD have... I actually just told someone that in a PM. But that was all new to me at the time so I wasnt feelin the whole insane speed thing. Also I had went down that earlier in the day and it wasnt that icy so I didnt really expect it. Shadows are a bitch

well ya but not the kind of sharp you get when they have the angle too low on the bevel. You want some room to initiate your turn before your edges rail

Well kinda. I told the guy at the shop I wanted them really sharp kuz I was gunna go screw around in a nastar race(was fun). When I took them to my shop when I got home to get them detuned the guy said the edges were pretty much flat and were sharp as hell

Ive got bad knees from hockey so it hurts to twist them when I'm getting up. And I wasnt even on my edges there.

Uhh I play in a midget (for those of you that dont play its the highest agegroup in USA hockey) AAA league. Theres definately enough kids that hit hard enough to screw tendons up in your knees.
