Replying to Need help from computer programming/word/excel wiz

blong131:

i need a program which will take my excel chart, which includes a column with a keyword and a column with the phrase i want exchanged for it, where i can input a paragraph and it will swap those words every time it comes across a keyword, basically auto-running msword's find>replace feature.

more elaborate:
my boss sends me a newsletter every day. he's had me come up with a list of tags for videos hes been in, news articles hes contributed to, etc. he wants it so that every time he mentions a keyword/tag in that newsletter, it will link to the tagged link. example: hes talking about "oil," he wants the word "oil" to be a hyperlink to a cnbc video of him talking about oil. so i have an excel spreadsheet with all the tags and then all the hyperlink codes that i would need replaced. so now i need a program that will basically auto-run the find>replace feature in word for every term in my tags list. does this make sense? if theres no program out there that does this, i basically need to figgure out how to code it in visual basic (the only language i really know). my boss really doesnt take no for an answer, and has yet to understand that Im not a computer programmer at all.
