Noob Alert: Whats a glidecam. Seem them around here, no freakin clue as to what they are. I know they are for filming, but like what is it used for?

It's basically a gyroscope with a weight that hangs off the bottom of your camera to stabilize it while moving, creating smooth, easy, hand held movements.

...aka perfect for followcams.
