Best tip/free thing a customer has given you while at work

Haha i have volunteered with special olympics skiing for the last 5 or 6 years, about every weekend for 2 months. Never got rewarded or anything, but seeing those kids having fun is the best tip one could get.

I was chillin in my room today not working, because I'm a bum. Knock at the door, some guy ran out of gas coming up the road in his pool service truck. So I drove him in to town with his gas can(7min drive) he gives me 10$ on the way down to the gas station and I am thanking him. As we pull in he says to pull up so that he can put gas in my car. I'm like sweet cause I have less than a quarter tank left. He filled it for me with his company card.

14min driving and 5min sitting in the car= 10$ and 11 gallons of gas

Imagine if I had been at work I would have missed this opportunity.

I work on the grounds crew for a golf course and people often bake stuff or bring donuts. Pretty sweet.

Ski instructing the last two winters I had a 6 (now 7) year old every Friday for two seasons. Her parents paid for a 1 hour private lesson. Both her parents were dentists and owned their own seperate practice so they were loaded. Every week for working one hours I would get 9 dollars for the hour worked, 4 extra for the request, and 75 dollars tip. Every Friday I walked away with a 88 dollar hour.
