I always thought sinkholes were like a one time thing... they just sort of appear and that's it. I hear you can' fill them with dirt or anything because it will just happen again or something like that.

i couldnt find anything on whether or how they normally fill these things up, but what i gathered from all the stuff i read is that they normally just leave it and it eventually fills up with water, or gets worse etc.
