Putting a handrail in the backyard?

So I found this handrail next to a dumpster and figured id would be something fun to jib. Only problem is there are no supports. I have some ideas as to how I can make a half decent support but was looking for some of your thoughts to make this work well.

The rail is a little small, but a rail nonetheless. Id say its about 4ft up and 5ft down:

if you have a hill that would fit the basic contour you could dig up some small holes, push the rail in, and if you want it permanent or at least to be there for a while you can go to home depot and by cement mix for small projects. its cheap and you just at water and the powder shit in a bucket and mold it around the base of the rail and you got yourself a perfect jib...

^this.  just jam it into the ground and you are all set.

you could weld supports onto it if you really wanted to but that would be difficult and unnecessary

Just get big blocks of wood and drill holes for the supports in them.

Yeah I'd go with the jam it in the ground approach, has yet to fail me. good find nonetheless
