Full-Time Position Open at ON3P

Rowen and I are looking to bring on a new full-time employee here at ON3P. Figured some of you might be interested...

Position is immediately available. Located in Portland, OR.

For those not local to the NW, we are also trying to fill a spot in our apartment in NW Portland. Great apartment in an awesome part of town, pretty affordable, month to month, tons of bars and other fun stuff with walking distance, if that might help your decision a bit....

I must stress - please remember we are a ski manufacturer. Regardless of what skills you bring to the table, a large part of the year we are going full steam ahead with production. It is difficult work with long hours, but for the right person very rewarding. Plus....we do like to ski occasionally and I don't think I am too much of a dick boss....so not a bad place to work I would say....

i am not an engineer, i live on the east coast, i am still in high school, i have miserable blisters on my hands all of spring and early summer from crew so i can't really do anything, and rowen scares me but i think i would be an excellent candidate for a summer internship because i'm very good at building things and i probably won't fuck up too many things in the factory...i'm a fast learner

Submitted my resume/cover letter a couple hours ago. Sounds like my dream job. I am graduating with my BBA in marketing in a week and have built a pair of skis and loved it. Right now the plan is a Master of Marketing Research Program at University of Georgia, but for a full-time position in an industry that I love; I could change plans.

There is a limited number of things someone under 18 can do in here, but we already have a <18 intern fulfilling those tasks. As I said, they are unfortunately pretty limited. Just a matter of what our insurance covers. Sorry.

As for future internship stuff, hell yeah. As I said, I haven't looked into it so I don't know the details of how we would have to set it up, but I would definitely be willing to look into it.

if i wasnt a complete jong when it came to marketing i could have been a good candidate. engineer, pretty handy, limited ski/snowboard building but still some experience believe it or not. if you have a job like this - the marketing part next summer i would seriously consider it.

Those of you saying you should drop out of college should really strongly consider getting a tutor for reading comprehension. One of the desired qualifications is a Bachelors in business, or marketing or a similar field.

Good luck to those who apply. It sounds like a great opportunity to get a job in the industry. Good luck to ON3P as well. I hope you guys can get a great addition to the team and that you don't have too many unqualified people wasting your time.

Just applied. BA in Business Administration from the University at Buffalo. I managed a ski shop this past winter and up until I saw this, was going to do so again this coming fall. I am also a certified ski technician. During the summer months I work construction working primarily with brick and natural stone using many different types of heavy machinery. Such a great opportunity for those who are qualified. Good luck to everybody.

But seriously though it's super legit. But can be repetitive and hard work, not in a physical sense but more mental. After all, doesn't everyone want as close to a perfect ski as possible?

That's for sure.  Someday I really feel there is a way to have an interchangeable base in a ski so if your edges underfoot blow out, boom, right back in.

That is a really innovative idea but i feel that in order for that to work you would have to make the edges thicker in order to hold the base down, and you would also need a way to keep the base down solid throughout the entire running length of the ski.

i know you guys are looking for someone with a degree, but think it;d be possible to take classes while the manufacturing season is running? i've taken a full course load working 8+hours of construction a day and did pretty well. i'm gonna tweak my resume a little and send 'er over.
