They have either conformed, or if it really is a scam, maybe just realized that some people (myself included) were thrown off by the low rating of the old suits, even though they wanted them. I found myself really wishing they made a 20k/20k suit, so now my hopes have been answered.

in the 2011 saga thread some rumors were that saga is going to a 3 layer.....makes since since a good chunk of their team is pretty backcountry oriented. but hard to say because saga is like apple with leaked information.

The numbers referenced define the amount of layers of material used to build the fabric. 1L is usually just face fabric with no function or just topical treatments like DWR. 2L refers to fabrics with a functional coating or laminate. 2.5L is the same as above but with the addition of a print on the coating/laminate side. The print on a 2.5L piece actually raises the fabric slightly off of the wearers’ body to help provide channels for moisture wicking and breathability, ultimately improving rider comfort without the need for hanging mesh found in 2L garments. 3L jackets include: Face fabric, Functional coating/laminate, and another knit or woven fabric adhered to the backside of the coating/laminate to provide 3 layers total. This helps provide rider comfort in a condensed package for better mobility.

gore-tex, e-vent, gelatnos etc
3L fabrics are the most technical fabrics in snowsports. the garments will be more durable,  more comfortable, more breathable and more h20 proof than other fabrics. TREW uses 3L and their gear though still rated 20k/20k is in a different league than these 2L companies. The price tag is larger, and not everyone needs a 3L setup, but  if you do you know why you have 3L gear.

Has your back ever gotten hot and sweaty when skiing in warmer weather? I know mine has and personally I think it is an AWESOME idea to put a vent back there. It's also something that no other company is doing, at least not that I know of.

back zippers have been around for a while, the only thing unique about this one is that it goes diagonal to the coat, most go straight across, and really the only stuff with backzippers have really poor breathability.   no my back has not randomlly sweat unless im rocking a backpack or improperly layering. and really if its warm enough for your back to sweat, maybe you can rock a hoodie?

litterally most everything that has to do with outerwear aside from customizing fit and using more technical fabrics has already been done by some company a long time ago. hell i have an old one piece that has a ipod pocket (well it was probably a tape player pocket but still)

i just like picking on first drop because of how cocky the owner was when he came on here promising to change the outerwear world by delivering goods on time, at an affordable price, while trying to break down the belief that the h20 proofness does make a difference (8k =20k was the argument), and fixing everyone elses problems with their outerwear and dropping the most stylish bombproof technical piece of gear possible

BUT
guess what , they had shipping problems like everyone else, outerwear h20 rating makes a difference (why else would they go to 20k next year) they had their own durability problems it seems and had to make some changes, and they openly admitted costs this year are = to double last years (this means they charged alot of money for a cheap product this past season)  because usually if you double your costs you HAVE to raise your prices.  but thats ok im only an observer , but dont believe everything you read especially when you got cash on the line.

hey yeah i got an xlt originally and it was way too big. just so you know im 6 4 and it was a dress, now im rocking the xl and its still bigger and baggier than anything my friends wear, so unless youre a giant or want a dress, the xl is plenty big

Sick color combination! I wish I can try out the jackets though, I'm thinking a Lg since Im 5'8 125lbs and don't like it too big where I cant even wear it to school. .... if only they weren't around 300$...
