From your alls experiences who are the best/coolest windells coaches that helped you learn a lot of new stuff and progress a ton?

I'd like to know as well since i'll be going this summer but sorry i have to minor thread jack:

1. do you choose your coach?

2. does anyone know the coaches list this summer?

I think that you can request your coach, and camp does their best to make sure that everyone is happy.

Just be honest with the skill level you are at when you fill out your camp application and they will get you with someone that will totally help you progress.

Alot of times a couple of coaches will session the same feature at the same time/do video review together so you get both of their feedback. Its legit...

i had hornbeck and hes easily one of the funniest guys, and incredibly nice aswell. during video review you could hear his comentating during each persons trick and its the funniest things youll ever hear.

when i went last summer they assigned you to a coach but

 if one of the coachs you put on for the registeration  is there you would probly get them i got witt foster with 4 of my friends but i didnt choose him

yeah you can recomend a coach but they have to teach your skill level, either beginer intermediate advanced or expert. you will only get real pros if u sing up for advanced or expert but you might get lucky if u are intermediate. i didnt recomend anyone cuz idk who teaches what. =]

i know the answer to this is probably everywhere but what qualifies in each category? like my bag of tricks right now is like 270's on to boxes and occasionaly rails, shitty no grab 3's but i can do them over like a 60 footer, and idk other than that basically the ability to do any rail...looking to really learn a variety of grabs up to a 7 would be nice, maybe learning a switch 5 would be nice, and also a flat 5 since i feel like i can really do it (perfected it on a high dive every time), and get better at pretzels and 450's and stuff like that, so what level would i put myself in?

i dont think thats exactly true because i got hornbeck with my friends that are all like fucking pro and i was a first year skier lol, i definitly got a ton better skiing with the better skiers.

barnes was the shit. he was my coach. originally they placed me with Witt, but i got in that group and all the kids were like "yea i wana perfect my cork 7's this week... maybe work on some underflips.." and i was like "oh fuck" so they moved me to barnes.

when i signed up it wasn't like "choose beginner, intermediate, or expert" they asked of your 5best rail tricks and 5 best air tricks if I recall right.
and not to be a douche or call out Moxham but I have heard from kids in my cabin and other kids that went other sessions that he was not a good coach

you can request coaches, but that doesn't mean you get that coach. Also i'm pretty sure that coaches don't just teach based on skill level, meaning that one coach doesn't always do expert level or something. I think it has to do alot with if the coaches like working with younger or older kids, cause the older ones usually slay it, while maybe the younger ones not so much

bump to this thread. i have grabbed 5's off like a 55 footer, shitty 7's, frontflips and a few other things under my belt... i have ok rail game, switch ups, 4s out, switch on. I need to know what skill level to go for, and i would kinda like an idea of what to expect as far as the park. +k for some info.

lj is amazing. my friends had him and i semi had him. super nice and chill but still an amazing coach and amazing guy. I had adam delorme as my real coach and he was reeeaally good. super nice, and i mean super. he was chill would crack jokes with you etc. adam and hornbeck shredded/coached/did video review together and hornbeck was also super nice. will film you for video review whenever you ask him too. amazing coach and guy. i thought all the coaches were cool dudes. wallisch is crazy chill and nice, so is liam downey. the only guy i thought wasnt that nice, was durschti.

Nah dawg, Moxham was my coach and he was the shit. Helped me with basic stuff and improved my confidence on jumps. Real nice dude

a friend of mine said dolerome was a reall good coach and they learned a lot and my other friend got LJ and now the kid slays i am really trying to get there this year

i had moxham as my main coach but i went off with witt foster and andy parry for most of the time. they dont really restrict you to a coach. if you want to session what some other coaches group is sessioning ask and they will most likely be chill with it.

each session will vary slightly, but these are the coaches working majority of the summer:

Mike Hornbeck
Tyler Barnes
Steve Stepp
Jeff Kiesel
Matt Walker
Liam Downey
Ben Moxham
Witt Foster
Will Wesson
Andy Parry
Brady Perron

and for the ladies

Ashley Battersby and Dania Assaly

There are several other coaches coming and going throughout the summer, but I'm not sure beyond these names.

Wallisch will be around pretty much all summer, although probably only coaching a couple sessions, I think the same goes for Nick Martini as well. Should be a fun one!
