Wassup All,

  I've been riding alot this beatiful season and find myself more and more addicted to park.  Im a fan of forums and just found you guys tonight.  Excited to be a member.

   I just got back today from a two day heavenly trip.  Finally getting comfortable with boxes this weekend and  am now solidly able to twist 90degree onto a box and come off it switch.  Nothin to special, but it's a blast doin it for the first time!     What's the lingo on what that's called?   Hopin I'm in the right forum for this....

The "lingo" for that is called a Rodeo 5. And you can now tell all your friends you can do one. I recommend telling them all and then bringing them to the park to watch you do it.

Dont listen to all the pricks that posted here, welcome to NS and Im glad to see more ppl joining pretty much daily. This is a great place to find skiing info and also can be a good place to buy/sell ski stuff.

Welcome.

I beg you to fight the temptation to adopt/take part in any of the obnoxiously unfunny "NS inside jokes". They're never funny, they're almost always ripped off from other forums, and the only people who really embrace them are tools who worry about post counts and seriously refer to people as "noobs". Basically, people "name drop" the jokes in a pathetic attempt to seem a part of the cool club. Don't, don't do it.

Some of the cults are excellent, and there are some helpful members who offer great advice. Video section is basically worth wading through all of the bullshit in and of itself.

DAaang,  I was on for two hours after this post and only saw one reply.  Now I come back tonight after work and my thread blew up.    I think I'll like it here.     All of the BSers I don't mind.  Just makes it  more  entertaining.

    Im used to it.  I'm a seven year member of i-club.com   (WRX forum).           So trying to shift through the BS.   I'm assuming what I did is not a rodeo 5?   A rodeo 540 is dropping down your left shoulder turning under and landing switch yah?

yeah pretty much what everyone else said. especially the whole lurk on forums for a long time before posting anything. get everything figured out. don't call anyone out on anything or make fun of people unless you want trouble. make sure you use the searchbar and keep making question threads as a last resourt. read the noob guide, it helps. make sure that if you make a thread, its in the right forum. if someone makes fun of you or gets mad at you, its best to not get mad at them, just handle the problem with humor or something like that.  and soon this site will consume most of your time, but thats a good thing so just have fun with it.
