CR Johnson has Passed Away

I just got a text message. Apparently CR hit his head on a rock while skiing Headwall (Squaw) this morning and has passed away. I will keep this thread updated with details as I get them.

Today marks the one year anniversary of the passing of CR Johnson. The news hit skiers so unexpectedly that it remains one of the rare moments that you remember exactly where you were when you heard. Three hundred and sixty five days later, it still doesn't seem possible. CR had done so much in skiing, had survived so much, and as a result was so at peace with who he was as a person and skier. CR Johnson was a rare talent and a remarkable person, and a year after his tragic passing, the ski world is still a lesser place without him.
