Skiing used to be a pure sport filled with adrenaline and excitement. With all of the new technologies and equipment skiiing is no longer the same, it is too easy and not how it was meant to be. Skiing of the future is only going to get worse and the skiing of now is nothing compared to what it used to be.

I totally agree with you but isn't the idea of skiing to make travelling in snow easier? It's a technology that makes sliding on snow too easy. this is why i now run naked down ski hills. it really gets the adrenaline pumping.

This sounds exactly like the argument that FINA put forward for swimming this past summer. Banning any suits that go past the knees. They claimed that swimming had become about the technology, and not the swimmer's ability.

Well, frankly, I threw that out there because I think it's bullshit.

If someone puts on an LZR or Blue70, do they automatically get insanely fast? No. Hard work is still needed. Sure, a tech suit does help, but if you're not a swimmer, it won't do shit.

FINA's decision=stupid.

If someone uses the exact same setup Tom uses in park, and the same Seth uses in the BC, will they become that good? No. Hard work, as in the case of swimming, is still necessary, and the skiers who put in the work are the best.
