granted we are getting a decent amount of snow but for real, why does everyone bug the fuck out? its a wednesday and i have business to take care of haha. everything is closed, they act like snow is just a big inconvience and life stops until you can see grass again. destroy the shit out of roads. we get snow for one full day and the entire week is fucked up. get ahold of yourself east coast. its just snow, not like we just had a fuckin earthquake or some shit that actually messes things up.
that is all.

Dude that shit isnt Penndots fault. The winds are so strong and blowing snow right back onto the highway after they plow, so its like nothing happened, cant do anything about it until probably tommorow after noon when the winds are supposed to die down.

I'm in Nj, some roads are closed by me and nothing is plowed, I was out skiing at my local sledding hill. I kinda agree with the op. I always say "three inches stops the world here," so over a foot is pretty bad. Can't complain though, this storm just got me the mighty six day weekend. I also can't get to a ski hill becuase the roads aren't plowed, our kicker and rainbow rail will have to suffice for now.

I love how the news outlets are covering these storms as if it's some sort of Armageddon. Meanwhile, last year when Spokane got 72" in two weeks and Seattle got a similar amount, no one was covering it. Again the media and society thinks that the country ends at the Mississippi.

i know ppl have already cleared up the whole toronto thing, but it really is fucked up in toronto. one year there was maybe like a foot of snow and they called in the army. it was fuckin ridiculous, my mom actually drove me to a friends house that day as if it was nothing

My point is not of the snow amounts. My point is that the PNW had no coverage of the December 2008 storms, even though they were essentially the storm series of the decade for us. Further ignorance that the country continues beyond the Mississippi.

I've lived in Utah my whole life, and I've never had a snow day from school. And nothing ever closes, and nothing gets canceled cause of snow.

Maybe if it snowed so much that peoples houses got buried or something then we could have a snow day.

i dunno, I handle my snow pretty well but I'm northeast. those midatlantic fools is all pussies. I love the pictures of people down there shoveling snow, and they've got those dinky flat blade plastic shovels that are meant for scraping off 3 inches of powdery snow max. and I bet the drivers are even worse, straight panic. we get alittle bit of that up here but for the most part people knwo how to drive in some snow.
