This happened in the 1800's... I want to say 1816 or 1817. New England never saw the summer and the snow kept falling through June, August, and right into the following winter. It may seem cool to have a 2 year winter now, but think about the amount of money required to go through that. I'm thinking about the cost of heating your house straight through the summers and the cost of having to import pretty much all of your food.
