So I need to get this piece off of a chip on my phone to replace it and its soldered on. Is there a good technique to remove it without using brute force. It is small and delicate and I dont want to break it or the chip.
borrow a pen shaped soldering iron that has a fine tip and turn it on and place in on the solder around the piece u need to remove. it will melt it and be damage free
im about to. i hate it and its brought me nothing but trouble. But it broke by lightly tossing it into a couch so I bet a ceiling fan with remove it from existence
Either a solder sucker (I think this would be the solder vacuum), solder braid or the ghetto version, a toothpick. You need to heat the solder and roll the tip of the toothpick through it. defintiely not you best option though!
