Google trying to send subliminal message?

So as I logged onto google today, they paid a tribute to MLK shown in the picture below. Pretty cool right? Well as I look closer, they took out the O and the G in the world google to replace it with the image of MLK. Are they implying that Martin Luther King was an original gangster? Google=awesome.
