The Monks: basically the first punk band ever, but i dunno how into "punkish" stuff you are.



Death: again not sure how into this youll be, but they created the whole Bad Brains Wash dc punk scene and HR from Bad Brains totally snaked this singers style. but the best thing is their whole story



and later ill do more, some Big Star the greatest american rock band of all time.

Hell yeah. I love Big star and Bad brains and all that underground punk stuff already.

But if you're looking for more, the Pogues, the Smiths, the Pixies, This Mortal Coil, and the Birthday Party are all right down your alley.

ha you read me like a book. Ive been heavily playin "f i sohuld fall from grace" on my trntable, one of my favorites. and pixies are stellar but morissey just bugs the hell outta me. i love the music and lyrics but his damn voice
