Healthcare Profession Question

I just got aressted and charged with one count of possesion of marijuana on thursday. Im 19 and am about to start my second semester in college. Im studying to become a nurse, because its in demand, it has a decent salary and i can live ever i want. I chose this major basically so i can ski.

Im really worried. Because of this incident can i not become a nurse anymore?

It probably depends on whether possession in your state is a felony or a misdemeanor.

i live in new mexico and its a misdemeanor. and the papers given to me by the cops after i got bailed out said i only had .04 ounces. i think i might try to get it expunged? is that what its called?

Step One: Hire an attorney. They might be able to keep it off of your record.

Worry about the possible career ramifications after you've been convicted.
