Issues with FT hotdoggers.

So for the first time this Friday and Saturday I rode in my new Full Tilt Hotdoggers. And I had some issues concerning them. Let me say first that I DID have the boots heat molded.

First there were pressure points on either sides of my ankles, maybe if I wear thicker socks it won't be as uncomfortable but that doesn't seem like it'll fix it.
Second, my toe got messed up again somehow like what happened with my boots last year were somehow I got a blood blister underneath my toe nail. This specifically is why i bought new boots so it wouldn't happen so it kinda sucks that I dropped $500 dollars so this wouldn't happen again and it happened after 2 days of skiing.

Any ideas or tips to keep either of these two things from happening is greatly appreciated and will result in +K. Thanks!

1) Did you buy these boots online without trying them on?
2) If you answered yes to number 1 (one) then that is your problem.
3) If you answered no to number 1 (one) then give the boots a few more days, I've heard that FTs take a while to pack out.

when i got my ft's molded they said wear thin socks do first day i did and i was getting like a weird burn on my lower shin and my ankles also felt pressured and today at mt snow i wore kinda thick burton sock and my feet felt so good and no shin bang!

That sounds exactly like what I was feeling. And I definitely do plan on wearing thicker socks next time so hopefully this is right.

And no I did not buy them online. I tried them on at a store and they felt great. It was only after skiing in them for a couple hours that I started to feeling the pressure points.

the toe thing could be an array of problems

1) were your toenails cut? because that will fuck shit up even if you have perfect boots

2) did you land backseat a bunch? again, even with good fitting boots, they arent toe/shinbang proof if you cant land right

3) did you buy your boots online? or get fitted at a competent bootfitter, because throwing 500$ down on new boots that dont fit right is rather pointless.

My ankles quite a lot after my first days out with my full tilts but it eventually goes away and they feel so good, it happend to my buddy to, just give them a couple days and walk around with them in your house.

I have a feeling that there will be alot of problems with FTs this year.  Not because of the boot but, because so many kids go out and buy FTs due to tommy wallnuts riding in them.  They dont get the boot that fits their foot the best, creating many problems.   FTs are great boots but fit few peoples feet.

hmm so you think that full tilts magically fit tammys feet andys feet wills feet or ians feet? the answer is no chances are they all have different feet but they are payed to wear them and they seem to work perfect for them. almost any boot can fit any foot. just get em molded in the right size and you can get whatever boots you want

with work they can fit but there is still a shit load of people that would have no chance in FTs no matter how much work you put into them.       And you are trippen if your saying that almost any boot can fit any foot.  Correct size or not.

My FTs fit so perfectly if I wear thin socks. If I wear my thick socks, I lose sensation in my toes. I'm gonna ski on them a few more days before I get them molded though, and I'm fine with wearing thinner socks because the liner is so warm

fulltilts arent necisarilly the best boot to help toebang which is probably what caused your toenail injury. the new spks have that softtoe that helps that alot more

Yeah I was deciding between the Kaos, the hotdoggers, and the voodoos. But the voodoos had a real uncomfortable pinch on the top arc of my foot, the Kaos's were to wide for my feet and the hot doggers had little pinch where I'm starting to really feel it. I disregarded the small pinch because I figured that it would've gone away after heat molding them.

When I went to the shop I had no intentions of getting Full Tilts over any other brand. They really were the best fitting boot.

the pinch could be something in the shell too. pull out your liners and see if theres a worn spot, or an imperfection in the shell thats causing the problem. if it is, you, or a bootfitter can most likely grind it out and problem solved.
