You bring up excellent points, and I fully agree with your treatment of my attitude. It's just that none of the "science" I have heard from people who deny climate change seems to follow basic principles, not only of climatology, but of chemistry, geophysics, biology, and so on.
I'll take up the negative feedback loop thing again of the clouds. And yes, I have been taught this in basically every course I've taken. It's not that this science isn't taught, it's that it isn't significant. I'm super tired so I know that if I tried to explain it I'd fail terribly. The gist of it though is that while clouds have a negative feedback loop, this only occurs if there is indeed a warming trend, and the warming trend is definitely magnified by the positive feedback of the oceans. I think they hold 80% of the world's CO2 if I remember correctly, so obviously any impact on ocean temperature will effect climate. This does happen in nature, but humans can easily magnify this if we release CO2 at a great rate. I'm pretty sure the climate data I saw was not the IPCC graph, and it definitely showed a major human impact on CO2 levels. The graph also showed the correlation between temperature and carbon so logic points to a temperature difference as a result of CO2.
As for lindzen, I think he's obviously a very smart man, but I think he is selectively choosing which parts of science to present as significant, in an attempt to "disprove" global warming. That's what I was getting at. I'm obviously not smarter than him, but I don't think he's revealing all his knowledge. Just as the IPCC may have done in not acknowledging the skeptics, Lindzen seems to not give any thought to believers. There is middle ground and that's where I've been taught to form my opinion on.
I did watch your videos that you posted last night before I said what I said, but I was pretty tired and I didn't make much sense of them. I'll watch the whole thing some time soon. I have a gap in final exams so that'll be a perfect time to do so.
