Booster strap + Tecnica Agent 100 = uhhhh?

how do i do it guys? i have the booster straps on my old boot at the moment. they went on super easy, just kinda threaded them through and screwed this thing down to keep them in place.

but the agent 110 that i just got have this fancy power strap thats like riveted and what not. it looks good, but nothing compares to Booster Straps, they are far superior.

so how do i get it on? as you can see, nothing to really thread it through. I also dont want to start wrecking and drilling my brand new boot... ya know?

you're gonna have to drill out the rivets, poke holes in the new strap with a hot nail, and put new rivets in

you're probably best off taking them to a bootfitter

some boots make it really easy to change straps whereas other make it a living hell

i work at a shop with all the tools i need. in fact i helped someone that works there dill out the rivet on his sollies to put on the booter straps.

but i feel terrible even thinking about drilling into brand new boots

well drilling out a rivet isn't drilling into new boots, it's just like removing a screw. you're not drilling into anything that's not meant to be drilled out

i donno...

its still tough though because there is no easy way to like thread it through even after i put the rivets in.

just go to a bootfitter. it will be really hard to do it yourself. i have the exact same set up. tried to do it myself and failed. it will take them like 5 or ten minutes

like i said, i work at a shop (with a bootfitter) and actually have done it myself with a different pair of boots that the boot fitter couldnt figure out.

the thing is that i just dont want to drill into these bad boys so soon. they havent even seen snow yet

yo lemme know how you like them, i considered getting them this year, but just did bunch of work to my spks to make them fit real nicely.

first impressions are that they are freakin awesome. got fully custom foot beds, heated them up and fixed the cuff allignment and everything so they are dialed in
nothing hurts at the moment, but they arent broken in yet. my feet fall asleep but atleast they won't know if they are cold or not, eh? haha

and for the price, you cant beat it. its a tough boot, not to park oriented but not like crazy hardcore. its nice having a boot that fits and that is the real deal .

If you work at a boot shop... you wouldn care so much about the "cosmetic damage"

You use booster straps for performance... that is much more important than not drilling into your brand new boots.

what does working at a shop have to do with caring about cosmetic damage? just cuz i work means i dont give a shit what something looks like?
its like denting a new car. its not big deal, it can be fixed, but its a brand new car and you just dented it...

you have booster straps to improve the performance of the boot yes?
And working in a shop means you would rather have the best out of what you have.....

But if you are more worried about having a boot that looks pretty than something you would benefit from...

its like 2 small holes your ski pants cover the top the boot anyway so not like ud see them?.

do u have the nordica sizing charts? and if u do what did u measure out to and what size aganet did u get? i measure to a size like 27.5 almost a 28, and the 26.6 fits perfect, just wondering if u sized down also. I spoke with the tecnica rep, and he agreed to size down with tecnica boots.

exactly the same
measured out to like a 27.5ish on the nordica sizing chart, maybe more? got 26.6 and my toes are in the front (pre-broken in) and they are super comfy.
my old boots that i got like two years ago, we sized up to be safe (since i was still growing) and got a 28.5 (this is before i knew anything about boots) and they are still enormous. my dad might take them

but if you have any technicas in the shop, just pull out the liner and shell fit yourself and look for like a little more than 1 finger and you're good
